Grade 9-12: Major Factors That Influence Climate Change (HS-ESS2-4)

Description

This unit was taught in a general non-college preparatory earth science class with predominantly freshman and sophomore students. The unit focused on the three major levels of influences on climate change (i.e., astronomical, earth system, human) drawn from the NGSS standard for students to build models to explain climate change. The unit employed a variety of instructional strategies including, direct instruction, computer based simulations, model based instruction, group based research, and included two forms of summative assessment.
