Co-Planning: Summary

In this unit, you explored the fundamental concepts related to co-planning.
Under this approach, the mentor and candidate teacher collaborate together on the tasks necessary for planning and teaching, such as determining the instructional goals for a lesson, the timeline for instruction, and the assessment plan they will use.

Over time, teaching and planning responsibilities will shift from the mentor to the candidate as the co-teaching program progresses. However, throughout the year, both the mentor and candidate will continue to have active roles in the planning and teaching process.
