Description
This unit focuses on the relationship between the sun and Earth and their patterns. Patterns of day and night and seasons will be explored. Lessons within the unit consist of activating prior knowledge, discussing informational text and media, creating a paper mâché Earth model to investigate day and night patterns with flashlights, making observations about the amount of light during winter and summer, and writing a science report on what was learned after completing the unit. Students make observations followed by analyzing and interpreting data.
