Description
This unit was taught in a 1st-grade classroom in Chico, CA. The students had to plan and conduct investigations to determine the effects of an object being placed in a path of light. The goal of our Triad unit was: 1) to understand how different materials have different effects on light, 2) to determine the causes of the effects when the object is placed in a path of light (transparent, translucent, and opaque), and 3) to help students plan and conduct investigations.
