Description
This unit focuses on patterns of Earth’s features. We introduce the unit by providing two different maps. The first image ia a map of Pangea, and the second image is a current map of Earth. Students will need to explain how the Earth’s features transitioned from one map to the other. Daily lessons include mapping activities that incorporate locating coordinates of major earthquakes, volcanoes, mountain ranges, and ocean trenches. Overall, students are able to organize data, identify relationships, and interpret data from maps to find patterns of Earth’s features.
