Summary
Co-teaching is a technique whereby two teachers (mentor teacher and credential candidate), share all of the teaching responsibilities including the planning, organization, delivery, and assessment of instruction as well as the physical space. Co-teaching is an attitude; an attitude of sharing the classroom and students.
The six Co-Teaching strategies include the following:
- One Teach, One Assist
- One Teach, One Observe
- Station Teaching
- Parallel Teaching
- Alternative (Differentiated) Teaching
- Team Teaching
